Start-Up Parenthood: Broadway and Pregnant

After giving birth to my second daughter, I wanted to document how different my birth stories were and why. Yes, there were 6 years in-between births and I had changed tremendously as a human (motherhood will do that to you). After a traumatic first brith, I decided to take charge of my pre and post natal providers and who would be contributing to my care this go around. I chose to do a social experiment of sorts, I chose to have ONLY Women of Color be in charge of my care (myself included). From midwife to acupuncturist to doula to my therapist. The results were both simple and profound. Listen to my journey with dear friend and bass-ass mom-preneaur Sarah Peck on the wildly popular podcast Startup Pregnant. We talk life and love and career choices, parenting ups and downs and why this message is important for more than just black woman but ALL women. It’s a rollercoaster of an conversation, but one that I would willingly ride over and over again!
